About The Others

The Others is an innovative international exhibition project dedicated to contemporary art, which speaks to a mixed and transversal audience – made up mainly of young people but also of families and experts or simple enthusiasts – identifying the new tools and practices that contemporary art acts as a fundamental means of communication, involvement and promotion.

A necessary premise for the presentation of The Others project is the firm conviction that the cultural development of a city and a country as a whole depends in a decisive way on the promotion of culture aimed at young people (18-30 years). The Others has set itself the fundamental objective of bringing young people closer to contemporary art by organizing an event which, by type of activities proposed, exhibitors involved and an accessible economic offer, is able to reduce the distance between contemporary art and the public with the dual ambition of nurturing a new generation of collectors, able to explore the most current themes of contemporary art, to become passionate about and therefore direct their purchasing choices towards artistic and cultural assets and stimulate the taste, the growth and the search for the quality of one’s social life.

The Others is an independent and non-profit fair, a true “Factory” of emerging contemporary art, a privileged meeting place for the newest voices, the most explosive energies and international and local avant-garde artistic trends.

The Others is an experimental exhibition: a meeting point between the market and cultural innovation. An unusual approach to the prevailing art system, an exhibition platform created to favor real contextualized and thematic artistic projects and enhance the quality of artistic production and presentation.

The Others is a curatorial fair: the artistic direction is entrusted to a team of young curators to better interpret the languages and decipher the codes of the artistic expressions of their generation, open new perspectives and propose an avant-garde observatory on quality international futuribiler creativity.

The Others has adopted a format and languages of promotion and communication suitable for a young and varied audience; a review that, abandoning the formal schemes and barriers typical of more traditional events, makes the dialogue between the artistic proposal and its understanding extremely direct and immediate.
